- PROCESS -
Once payment is received, I will order the supplies required for your ring specifically. Once supplies arrive, I will contact you to arrange for a small portion of the ashes to be delivered to me either through mail or at the next market I am attending.
Please note, you are responsible for shipping costs if you choose to mail the ashes to me. Once ashes are received, I will get started on your order as soon as possible. The easiest way to send the ash is by placing a tea spoon amount into a zip-lock bag. You can even double bag it, just to be safe. Many of my customers have mailed me the ziplock bags in a small bubble envelope. The cost of this type of envelope + postage is usually under $3 with Canada Post.
Next, I will e-mail you once the ashes are received. Once your order is complete, I will mail the remaining ash and your special ring to you.
Ashes will be handled with the utmost care while in my possession. Thank you for choosing me to make this special order for you.
- ABOUT STERLING SILVER JEWELRY -
Sterling silver is known for its durability and ability to last for centuries. Let's not forget about the beautiful bright silver finish that sets it apart from other types of metal. To prevent the tarnishing process of your sterling silver jewelry be sure to remove before showering, swimming, or participating in a physical activity. Protect your jewelry by storing it in a lined jewelry box, pouch, or anti-tarnish bag.
Cleaning Sterling Silver: White vinegar and baking soda: Use this gentle cleaner to remove heavy tarnish that's preventing you from polishing your silver. Soak the tarnished piece in a solution of 1/2 cup white vinegar and 2 tbsp. baking soda (be prepared for the fizzing!) for two to three hours, then rinse and dry.
Q: “Can I shower with sterling silver jewelry?”
A: Though showering with sterling silver jewelry on should not harm the metal, there is a good chance that it could induce tarnishing. ... We encourage our customers to remove your sterling silver before showering.
